|Description||As the only positive antigen marker for many germ-cell neoplasms (such as seminoma), this antigen may occasionally be present in some adenocarcinomas. In cases in which such considerations are included, epithelial membrane antigen or keratin immunoperoxidase studies are recommended in combination.
NOTE: This test is usually ordered in conjunction with a pathology consultation. The pathology professional component will be billed separately by the consulting pathologist.
