|Description||Chloroacetate esterase is used to demonstrate enzyme activity of neutrophilic granulocytes and mast cells. The demonstration of chloroacetate esterase can be useful in the classification of acute myeloid leukemias.
NOTE: This test is usually ordered in conjunction with a pathology consultation. The pathology professional component will be billed separately by the consulting pathologist.
