Methodology Flow Cytometry 
Description Useful for evaluation of T- and B-cell lymphocyte subsets which is of diagnostic utility in suspected immunodeficiency.

If Adhesion Panel markers are desired, please indicate on the NorDx requisition. Additional charges will apply.

NOTE: This test is usually ordered in conjunction with a physician interpretation. The physician professional component will be billed separately by the consulting physician. 

Specimen SPECIMEN MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF COLLECTION.

EDTA whole blood is required for this test.

Draw blood in a lavender-top (EDTA) tube. Send 5mL of EDTA whole blood at ambient temperature only.

NOTE: DATE OF COLLECTION, AND CLINICAL INFORMATION ARE REQUIRED ON REQUEST FORM FOR PROCESSING. 

Reference Values Percentage and absolute counts of T- and B-cell markers reported with age-specific normal ranges.
