|Description||Useful for detecting neurons of the brain, islets of Langerhans cells of the pancreas, peripheral nerves of the skin, carcinomas, pheochromocytomas, neuroblastomas, insulinomas, "APUD"omas, and rhabdomyosarcomas.
NOTE: This test is usually ordered in conjunction with a pathology consultation. The pathology professional component will be billed separately by the consulting pathologist.
