|Description||Stain to demonstrate substances in tissue such as basement membranes, glycogen, mucin, pituitary basophil granules, and reticulum. Also useful for microorganisms such as Histoplasma capsulatum.
NOTE: This test is usually ordered in conjunction with a pathology consultation. The pathology professional component will be billed separately by the consulting pathologist.
