Methodology High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) 
Description Useful for assessing achievement of optimal therapeutic levels and assessing potential toxicity 
Specimen SUBMIT ONLY 1 OF THE FOLLOWING SPECIMENS:

PLASMA
Draw blood in a lavender-top (EDTA) tube 1 - 2 hours (peak value) after last dose. (PLASMA GEL TUBE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.) Spin down and send 3.0 mL (minimum: 1.1 mL) of heparinized plasma.
NOTE:
1. Indicate plasma on request form.
2. Label specimen appropriately (plasma).

SERUM
Draw blood in plain, red-top tube(s) 1 - 2 hours (peak value) after last dose. (SERUM GEL TUBE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.) Spin down and send 3.0 mL (minimum: 1.1 mL) of serum.
NOTE:
1. Indicate serum on request form.
2. Label specimen appropriately (serum).

Therapeutic concentration: 50 - 200 ng/mL (peak value)
Toxic concentration: >= 400 ng/mL (peak value)
NORVERAPAMIL

Therapeutic concentration: 50 - 200 ng/mL (peak value)
