|Test||MIB-1 / Ki67 IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY STAIN|
|Description||The MIB-1 antibody reacts with a nuclear antigen present in proliferating cells throughout most of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2 and M) but is absent in G0. It is therefore used to establish the growth fraction of a neoplastic cell population by comparing the number of MIB-1 positive cells to the total cell population. The correlation between low and high grade histology are strong.
