Methodology Turbidimetric Immunoassay 
Description Useful for sensitive and quantitative measurement of the body's acute phase response. 
Specimen Draw blood in either a plain, red-top tube or serum gel tube. Spin down promptly and send 0.5 mL (minimum volume: 0.3 mL) of serum refrigerated. 
MMC Specimen Draw blood in a plasma gel tube. 0.5 mL of plasma required. 
Reference Values <6 months the normal range is 0.0-10.0 mg/L
>6 months to <18 years is 0.0-10.0 mg/L
>18 years is 0.0-8.0 mg/L
