Methodology Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) 
Description Useful for assessing the risk of thrombosis in individuals with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) or lupus-like disorders. 
Specimen Draw blood in a plain red-top or serum gel tube. Spin down and send 1.0 mL (minimum: 0.5 mL) of serum refrigerated in a screw-capped, plastic vial. If specimen will not arrive within 2 days of draw, send specimen FROZEN in plastic vial on dry ice. 
Reference Values Cardiolipin Antibody IgA
Negative: <=11 APL
Indeterminate: 12-20 APL
Low to Medium Positive: 21-80 APL
High Positive: >80 APL

Cardiolipin Antibody IgG
Negative: <=14 GPL
Indeterminate: 15-20 GPL
Low to Medium Positive: 21-80 GPL
High positive: >80 GPL

Cardiolipin Antibody IgM
Negative: <=12 MPL
Indeterminate: 13-20 MPL
Low to Medium Positive: 21-80 MPL
High Positive: >80 MPL
