Description Useful For:
Inhibin A: as an aid in the diagnosis of patients with granulosa cell tumors of the ovary when used in combination with Inhibin B.

Monitoring of patients with granulosa cell tumors and epithelial mucinous-type tumors of the ovary known to secrete inhibin A.

Inhibin B: as an aid in the diagnosis of granulosa cell tumors and mucinous epithelial ovarian tumors.

Monitoring of patients with granulosa cell tumors and epithelial mucinous-type tumors of the ovary known to overexpress Inhibin B.

As an adjunct to follicle-stimulating hormone testing during infertility evaluation.

2. Performance characteristics have been determined by the performing laboratory. Results should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical findings. 

Specimen Draw blood in a plain, red-top or serum gel tube. Spin down and send 1.0 mL (0.6mL minimum) of serum in a plastic transfer tube refrigerated.
