Description Screens for the presence of buprenorphine in urine by EIA at a cutoff concentration of 5 ng/mL. Positive results are confirmed and quantitated by LC-MS/-MS at an additional charge.

THIS TEST IS INTENDED FOR CLINICAL MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT OF PATIENTS. IT IS NOT INTENDED FOR NON-MEDICAL USE SUCH AS EMPLOYMENT OR FORENSIC TESTING.

Note: Specific gravity, pH, creatinine and oxidants will be performed and reported at no additional charge to identify potential adulteration of the urine specimen.

INTENDED POSITIVES:
Buprenorphine (Suboxone, Subutex) 

Specimen 25 mL (10.0 mL minimum) from a random urine collection in a non-sterile urine container. Send specimen refrigerated. 
Reference Values Not Detected

The presence of buprenorphine at 5 ng/mL or norbuprenorphine at 5 ng/mL is a strong indicator that the patient has used buprenorphine.
