OXYCO
OXYCODONE SCREEN WITH GC-MS CONFIRMATION, URINE

Test Code OXYCO
Test OXYCODONE SCREEN WITH GC-MS CONFIRMATION, URINE
Methodology Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA)
Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrophotometry (GC-MS), if indicated
Description The screening assay detects oxycodone and its metabolite, oxymorphone, in urine. If the oxycodone screen is > = 100 ng/mL, the opiates confirmation/quantitation by GC-MS is performed at an additional charge.

THIS TEST IS INTENDED FOR CLINICAL MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT OF PATIENTS. IT IS NOT INTENDED FOR NON-MEDICAL USE SUCH AS EMPLOYMENT OR FORENSIC TESTING.

Note: Specific gravity, pH, creatinine and oxidants will be performed and reported at no additional charge to identify potential adulteration of the urine specimen.

INTENDED POSITIVES:
Oxycodone (Combunox, Endocet, Magnacet, OxyContin, Percocet, Primlev, Roxicet, Roxicodone, Roxilox, Roxiprin, Tylox, Xolox)

Specimen 25 mL (10.0 mL minimum) from a random urine collection in a non-sterile urine container. Send specimen refrigerated.
Reference Values Not Detected
EIA cutoff concentration: 100 ng/mL

GS-MS cutoff concentrations:
-Codeine <100 ng/mL
-Hydrocodone: <100 ng/mL
-Hydromorphone: < 100 ng/mL
