|Test||OXYCODONE SCREEN WITH GC-MS CONFIRMATION, URINE|
|Methodology||Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA)
Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrophotometry (GC-MS), if indicated
|Description||The screening assay detects oxycodone and its metabolite, oxymorphone, in urine. If the oxycodone screen is > = 100 ng/mL, the opiates confirmation/quantitation by GC-MS is performed at an additional charge.
THIS TEST IS INTENDED FOR CLINICAL MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT OF PATIENTS. IT IS NOT INTENDED FOR NON-MEDICAL USE SUCH AS EMPLOYMENT OR FORENSIC TESTING.
Note: Specific gravity, pH, creatinine and oxidants will be performed and reported at no additional charge to identify potential adulteration of the urine specimen.
|Specimen||25 mL (10.0 mL minimum) from a random urine collection in a non-sterile urine container. Send specimen refrigerated.|
|Reference Values||Not Detected
EIA cutoff concentration: 100 ng/mL
GS-MS cutoff concentrations:
|Analytic Time||1 Day; 4 Days if positive|
|Day(s) Test Set Up||Monday through Friday|
80307 Drug screen, qualitative, single drug class method
80364 Opiates, drug and metabolites, if indicated
G0480 or G0481 or G0482 or G0483, Drug test(s), definitive (Government payers, if appropriate), if indicated
