|Description||Diagnosis and treatment of liver, bone, intestinal, and parathyroid diseases.
Determining the tissue source of increased alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity in serum.
Differentiating between liver and bone sources of elevated ALP.
|Specimen||Draw blood in a serum gel or plain red top tube. Spin down and send 1 mL divided into 2 plastic vials, each containing 0.5 mL (Minimum 0.5 mL divided into 2 plastic vials, each containing 0.25 mL)
***NOTE: Freeze serum if specimen will not be sent to reference lab within 7 days.
