|Test||MAMMOGLOBIN, IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY STAIN|
|Description||Mammoglobin is encoded by a gene first identified in a study directed at the isolation of novel breast cancer associated genes. Mammoglobin expression is mostly but not exclusively confined to breast tissue. This antibody, when used in a panel with other antibodies, can be useful in identification and classification of cancers of breast origin.
NOTE: This test is usually ordered in conjunction with a pathology consultation. The pathology professional component will be billed separately by the consulting pathologist.
