|Description||Useful to detect the presence of fibrin. Fibrin is an insoluble protein formed from fibrinogen, which is one of the plasma proteins and is seen in damaged tissues. The stain is used promarily at NorDx to detect damage in kidney and renal biopsy tissue.
NOTE: This test is usually ordered in conjunction with a pathology consultation. The pathology professional component will be billed separately by the consulting pathologist.
