|Test||MUM-1, IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY STAIN|
|Description||MUM-1 is a B cell lymphoma marker. It is overexpressed in late plasma cell directed stages of B cell differentiation. MUM-1 is expressed in a subset of B cells in the light zone of the germinal center. It is identified in the late stages of B cell differentiation, plasma cells, activated T cells and a large number of hematolymphoid neoplasms.
NOTE: This test is usually ordered in conjunction with a pathology consultation. The pathology professional component will be billed separately by the consulting pathologist.
