|Test||CDX2, IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY STAIN|
|Description||CDX2 is a transcription factor expressed in the nuclei of epithelial calls throughout the intestine, from duodenum to rectum. Because of its reported specificity for gastrointestinal (GI) epithelium, antibodies to CDX2 have been seen as a marker of metastatic carcinomas of GI origin.
NOTE: This test is usually ordered in conjunction with a pathology consultation. The pathology professional component will be billed separately by the consulting pathologist.
