Description Useful as a prospective and diagnostic marker for the development of nephropathy in renal transplant patients.

CAUTION:
Serial determination of blood specimens from patients may be necessary to monitor increasing (risk of development of nephropathy) or decreasing (treatment efficacy) levels of BKV DNA. 

Specimen URINE
Collect random urine in a sterile urine container. Transfer 10 mL (minimum 2.0 mL) to a sterile tube, freeze at -20 degrees C and deliver promptly to laboratory.
